Diana, Maria’s daughter, emailed me last night:
9/1/1916 - 10/19/2010
Mom passed peacefully this evening just before 9:00 PM.
She had rallied most of last week and we had some fun visits - Carol got to see her awake on Wednesday when she came out. Sunday night she called me - we had a great visit yesterday. But when it is time - it is time.
Funeral arrangements are still being set, so we’ll put up more information as we get it.

Seeing Aunt Maria and Uncle Arnon meant playing with my cousin, Carol Ann, who was closer to my age.
They moved west to Minnesota and I did not see much of them, which is why I have enjoyed hearing from Diana and Carol Ann about their lives, and about Aunt Maria.
I will miss you, Aunt Maria!
Love,
I am very sure that Maria is with Doris at this time, giving her a permanent after Arnon washed her hair!! And all the time telling jokes ! this was their pattern! I too missed them after they left but could understand why they had to move! Will hug the girls long distance!
Thanks for posting, her obit is now online at the funeral home site: Thepetersonchapel.com
Carol and I appreciate your kind words.
